John Weston

John Weston  has worked in China,  Europe and the United States; and after 36 years in the public service retired in 1998 as UK Ambassador to the United Nations in New York. He has sat on several major company boards, and been active in education, the arts and the voluntary sector. He was anthologised by Shoestring Press in 2004 and his first collection Chasing the Hoopoe was published by Peterloo in 2005. An Honorary Fellow of Worcester College Oxford, he was knighted in 1992.

He is married with three children and four grandchildren.
